Plumbing Issues in Older Campbell River Homes

Living in an older house here has been a mix of charm and constant little surprises. One month it’s low pressure, another month it’s a leak that seems to come out of nowhere. We knew the place had history when we bought it, but I didn’t expect the plumbing to be such a regular concern. For people who also live in older Campbell River homes, what kinds of plumbing issues tend to show up the most, and how do you stay ahead of them without replacing everything at once?

Older houses definitely come with their own personality. In our place, outdated pipes and old fittings caused recurring issues until we slowly upgraded things section by section. What helped was accepting that not everything needs to be fixed immediately, but some things shouldn’t be ignored either. I’ve learned to keep lists of reliable local services for all kinds of needs. I do the same with unrelated stuff too, like checking Denturists in Victoria, BC when I need specialized care. Having trusted local options bookmarked just makes life easier when problems pop up.
